I have known Jon since I purchased my first Lotus from a local Dealer in 2003. Since starting his own business two years ago, I had no hesitation in trusting him to undertake work on my car in the knowledge he is fully Lotus trained. 


Jon not only completes the necessary servicing to my car, but has also helped in many performance enhancing modifications. He has always gone the extra mile and will contact you to check if there are any specific additional items that may be required and suggest alternative solutions. 



Recently he has fitted a complete new performance exhaust system, stiffer engine mounts and a lightweight rear panel elimination kit, all of which increased performance and reduced weight. The use of the courtesy car provided is also of great benefit, especially with a colour scheme influenced by my own car! I would not hesitate in recommending Jon to anyone as he is conscientious, methodical and always polite, with a very reasonable invoice to match.

I have owned TVRs for the past 18 years and Jon has been maintaining my last two for over 12 years. I would not consider using anyone else. He also maintains my everyday, long haul commuting vehicle. I had been looking for an independent Lotus service provider for a few years, and after repeated trips to the main dealer, I realised that the level of knowledge and enthusiasm there was somewhat lacking. 1999 Lotus Elise S1

If Jon can complete a job in a fixed time frame, he will go the extra mile to achieve it. He worked after hours to complete a gearbox and diff rebuild on my TVR so I could drive it to France which I greatly appreciated.

I have taken my Lotus Exige to Purbeck Sports Cars for a number of years now for both annual services and ad-hoc maintenance/upgrade work.

Taking your pride and joy to a new garage is always nerve-wracking, but I cannot recommend their quality of workmanship, professionalism and integrity highly enough.

It’s a specialist car that requires specialist knowledge, and Jon has the main dealer training and experience to resolve the most challenging of issues (as encountered by me while having a major starting fault that was pinpointed to ingress of water into the ECU). Jon’s expertise and communications were, and are, second to none.

I’ve used other main dealers of high-performance brands in the past, but Jon takes a pragmatic approach to repair, is always open & honest, and costs are refreshingly fair and sensible.

I have no hesitation in recommending Purbeck Sports Cars, and will continue to use them for any performance car I may own (even though it’s a 80 mile round trip for me) – testimony to their winning service.

Purbeck Sports Cars are the best thing that’s happened to my Chimaera since I bought it 12 years ago!

I first got to know Jon when he was at Westover Sports Cars, 5 or so years ago, and thought “At last, here’s a bloke who knows what he’s doing” and was really pleased when he took the plunge and went out on his own.

The setup at PSC is perfect.

It’s easy to get hold of Jon to talk things through and he keeps me updated as the work progresses; his communication during a fairly major job replacing outriggers, dampers, fuel lines etc. on the underside of the car recently was faultless and as always, the quality of work was terrific.

It’s great to have a setup like PSC in South Dorset; the prices are really reasonable (you're not paying for a huge admin setup and a marble floored reception area) and the care and attention to detail is second to none.

And they have a nice dog. :D
