This is an exceptional Elise. It had its PDI in Cyprus by Lotus Dealer Mototrend, before being purchased by a female RAF officer. It has a full service history with the supplying main dealer for the 11 years it was in the country and was then sold to another officer in the RAF who imported the car back to the UK in 2016 displaying 79953km (49680 miles). It had two further services prior to Purbeck Sports Cars purchasing the car in August 2018 direct from the customer. Having done the majority of its mileage in the Cyprus climate, the underside of the car is in exceptionally good condition. There is no corrosion to any suspension parts as would be typical of a UK based Elise of this age. Not only has the car been well looked after by its two previous owners, it has also been prepared to the highest standard in our workshop. The car has a brand new cylinder head with all the coolant upgrades, including an aluminium radiator and remote thermostat kit. Other upgrades fitted during the preparation include a stainless steel braided brake hose kit, Elise Parts stainless steel black tow post, Elise Parts stainless steel Xylan driving light brackets and an Elise Parts rose joint gear linkage kit. The Arctic Silver paintwork is in excellent condition with fresh PPF stone chip protection applied to the lower sills. The anthracite/grey cloth interior gives a racecar feel and likewise is in very good condition.

The Elise has also had a full C service and the wheels have been refurbished and fitted with Yokohama AD07 tyres with 6mm of tread depth. It comes complete with two keys and immobiliser key code tag, Certificate of Conformity, the owners handbook and extensive history file with all invoices from previous work, removable front CD radio, soft top roof storage bag and tool pack.

In our experience, this Elise in on par with a 3 or 4 year old example with regards to suspension condition. UK weather has such a negative effect on the aluminium chassis and suspension components, but this Elise requires no expensive refurbishments at all. All other Elise weak points have been tended to with either upgraded or genuine replacement parts during the car’s meticulous preparation. Mechanically and cosmetically this Elise is in excellent condition. The early S2 Elises were some of the lightest of the Elise models produced and with the pure simplicity and preciseness of the famous Lotus handling, make for a fantastic drive.
